Just 3 days after high school graduation I moved away from home, in love, and determined to find somewhere better than Fryeburg, Maine. Eight years, nine apartments and three states later, I realized that there is nothing better. So I packed up my family (including our 1 yr old son) and all of our things and headed home. I learned a lot of lessons in my time away from here, but the biggest one of all is that the sense of community and trust that the Mount Washington Valley offers is incomparable, and there is no better place to raise a family. I take this sense of pride in my community and put it towards my work. I truly believe that this is the best place in the world to live. From winter skiing and ice fishing to summer hiking and outlet shopping, there is something for everyone here in the valley.
In my spare time you will find me wearing one of my many hats; the best wife ever, mother of two, snowboard instructor to my four year old son, fitness guru (well, maybe a little more beginner and a little less guru), bargain decorator, housekeeper, chef, HGTV addict, researcher of all things “green”, and when I have time, expert napper. No matter which of those you find me doing, you can bet I will have a cup of coffee in one hand and my smartphone in the other. Being a homeowner myself, I know firsthand the struggle that can come with finding a new home, and then trying to keep it up once you get it. How we bought our first home is a funny story, which you can read about here. While it isn’t always an easy or fast road to home ownership, the sense of pride I feel when I look around my home far outweighs the obstacles we overcame to get here. Even if there is a sink full of dishes and permanent marker on the wall.
